Some people may hesitate to buy frozen fish, because they do not know how long the fish has been frozen and therefore doubt its freshness. If you buy frozen fish, you may realise the taste is similar if not better than buying fresh fish.
I will tell you a secret. Some of the fish you buy from your favourite fishmonger, may have been frozen and are now sold as fresh.
Unless you buy the fish from a fish tank, or catch the fish yourself, you may not know about the freshness of a fish. If you develop a relationship with a fishmonger who knows you are always looking for quality and freshness, then you will know you are getting quality fish.
You may see a tuna fillet, and you are not sure if the fillet is definitely tuna or something else pretending to be tuna. This is why you may seek a whole tuna and ask the fishmonger to chop up the tuna and make tuna fillets for you. This way, you will know you are buying fresh tuna and not frozen fish.
