While Americans may spend their Thanksgiving holiday in any number of different ways, most often they want to spend the holiday with family members and friends.

Although it is a slower form of travel it is a fairly reliable way to ensure that you will make it home for that traditional Thanksgiving dinner with your family.
You may also want to consider the train; however, be sure to check the routes carefully as there are not as many available today as there used to be.
