A tour of the beer brewing cities found in America and across the world would not be complete without a trip to Milwaukee, Wisconsin. This unique city is home to Miller Brewing and the beer brewing system that Miller is founded upon has been around for quite some time.
Chances are probably pretty good that you have sampled at least one or two of their beer products in your life. For many it is the definitive American beer. You may have heard of it and tried it but do you really know how much of a landmark Miller is to the United States?
Back in 1855, Frederick Miller began his legacy by purchasing a small brewing company called Plank-Road Brewery and then he changed the name to the Miller Brewing Company. After his death, the company passed to his daughter. Unfortunately, she did not approve of the use of alcohol and sold Miller to W.R. Grace & Company. Over the years the company has thrived and grown. Recently, Miller merged with Molson Coors to become Miller Coors.
If you really want to get to know this American brewed beer, Miller Brewing has a website that you can visit. It is important to note that you have to be over the age of 21 to visit the site.
The site will ask for your age. While it may seem like a hindrance, the people at Miller want to make sure that people are acting responsibly. You can visit the site at www.millerbrewing.com.
